It started on a Boeing 737 to London, in 1995.

I was a kid on the airstairs, squinting into the sun - and I never really came back down. The fascination with flight stuck. So did a parallel obsession: taking apart every piece of electronics I could get my hands on.

Those two threads ran through everything I did. I started my career at Hewlett-Packard, deep in the machinery that quietly runs the world - compute, storage, fibre-channel networking, datacentres. Today I'm a Market Lead at Google, helping companies bring products to the world. Somewhere between a computer-science degree and an executive MBA, the itch to build something of my own never faded.

One morning I decided to stop just watching the planes pass overhead and make the thing I'd always wanted on my own wall - a calm, beautiful way to see the aircraft above me without reaching for my phone.

FlyFrame is that idea, designed and built in Ireland: a live aviation print, on e-ink, that turns the anonymous specks in the sky into stories you can read.
